Our super authentic chocolate brownie candle scent was inspired from this very special recipe. Eating chocolate brownie is one of life’s great pleasures. It’s one of our household scents that brings back memories of family get togethers, dinner parties and weeknight dessert treats. The best part about our memories of chocolate brownie is our recipe. It’s one we discovered in primary school in the school cook book and becomes everyones favourite. It’s super easy because it’s a microwave recipe and just as delicious as any gourmet recipe book. You can make this in under 10 minutes including the cooking.
1 Cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
¾ cup self rising flour
¼ cup nuts (optional)
¼ cup chocolate chips or buttons
In a medium sized bowl melt the butter. Stir in eggs, sugar and vanilla. Beat well. Stir in sifted dry ingredients (and nuts if desired). Do not overmix. Line a 20cm square or round microwave proof dish with gladwrap. Spread mixture out in dish and sprinkle chocolate chips or buttons on top. Microwave for approximately 4 minutes depending on how powerful your microwave is. Look to see when the centre is dry as an indication of when its cooked. Once cooled sprinkle with icing sugar and cut into wedges.
